QAIS holds several external validations that establish its international standing. It was approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education as International School No. 110 in the People's Republic of China in July 2011, marking official government recognition to operate as an international school in China. QAIS is authorized to offer the full International Baccalaureate continuum (Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme), and is noted as the first school in Shandong Province to achieve this authorization for all three IB programs. The Toddler and Early Childhood programs are accredited by the American Montessori Society, making QAIS the first school in Asia to receive AMS accreditation for these early programs. The school's Toddler and Early Childhood programs are also accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. QAIS is a member of the Council of International Schools, reflecting engagement with CIS's external quality assurance framework. These accreditations and authorizations are presented together as part of QAIS's six accreditations and authorizations, underscoring a broad external validation of its programs and governance. Additionally, QAIS is the first IB World School in Shandong and the first Asia-based school to be AMS-accredited for its early years, with a continued emphasis on international accreditation and authorization. These points are outlined in QAIS's About QAIS and Accreditation pages, which describe the MOE licensing, IB authorization, AMS accreditation, MSA accreditation, and CIS membership as the core external validations supporting QAIS's profile.
