Wellbeing, Promotion and Human Development (BIPRODEHU) leads socio-emotional wellbeing across the school. The department is staffed by psychologists who promote the socio-emotional development of the learning community, including students, teachers, families, and staff. It implements programs and strategies to support general wellbeing and socio-emotional development. Initiatives are organized for students, teachers, and families, with dedicated staff supporting the work across the community. The school emphasizes a holistic balance between the body, mind, emotions and spirituality as part of wellbeing.
Spanish, English and French are taught at the school.
Team members include a Director of Convivencia y Bienestar, a Psychologist for Primary, a Psychologist for 8th–10th grades, and a Coordinator of BIPRODEHU who serves 6th, 7th and 11th grades. They support students' mental health and socio-emotional development across grades and lead wellbeing initiatives school-wide. The team provides counselling and coordinated programs in collaboration with families and teachers.
The data protection policy has been in effect since December 1, 2018. Personal data of students and families is collected for educational purposes, including health data necessary for first aid and therapeutic processes, and stored securely with access limited to authorized staff. The policy governs how information is used, stored, circulated and how data subjects may access or revoke their data. The school uses the PEI and the Manual de Convivencia to guide behavior and safety, and monitors operations and facilities to maintain safety in the school community.
Colombia's Colegio CIEDI is a co-educational International Baccalaureate World School serving students aged 3 to 18. It delivers the IB Continuum (PYP, MYP, DP) with IB certifications at all three stages since 2006. Languages of instruction are Spanish, English and French, with a bilingual framework incorporating a third language. Founded in 1977, CIEDI operates a campus on the Van der Hammen Nature Reserve with campuses in Cota and Tenjo, integrating Nature's Classroom and Integrated STEM as pedagogies.
