How tuition and related charges are billed

- Annual tuition is divided into ten monthly instalments paid from February through November (10 payments). Each monthly amount above is the standard monthly instalment; the ten instalments together constitute the full year tuition.
- The Matrícula (enrollment) and Materials charges are billed as separate up-front items at enrollment (Materials for Preschool and Primary are collected together with Matrícula). In the institution's payment rules, the Materials charge for the next school year must be settled by December 15 of the prior year when so indicated.

Payment terms, discounts and late-payment policy

- Payment window and discount: monthly instalments may be paid within the 30-day calendar period for the charge; payments made during the first 15 days of the month are eligible for a CRC 10,000 discount on that month's instalment. Payments made from day 15 to day 30 are due without the discount.
- Late payment charge: a delinquency surcharge of 4% per month is applied to overdue amounts. The school may suspend services for unpaid balances after notice and follow the steps outlined in the payment regulations.
- Multiple-children discount: families with more than one child enrolled receive sibling discounts: 5% for the second child, 10% for the third child and 15% for the fourth child on tuition.

Refund policy

- Payments made for Matrícula (enrollment) and monthly tuition do not have refund character (are non‑refundable).

Boarding / residential provision

- Mount View School operates as a day school; boarding / residential accommodation is not listed among the services offered. Transport and cafeteria services are offered as day‑school services.

Other fees and occasional charges

- Materials fee (one-time) by level is listed above and is charged to Preschool and Primary as indicated; Secondary shows no standard Materials charge.
- Exam re‑sit (reposiciones) fee: when a student must make up an exam and does not present a medical certificate, a per‑exam re‑sit fee is charged (the regulation shows CRC 15,000 per exam in the academic rules). If the student is abroad for exams, a re‑sit fee per exam is also charged. Medical certificates may exempt the re‑sit fee where allowed by the rules.
- Locker/sticker: a vehicle‑access sticker for morning entry (sold at the office) is shown at CRC 500 each in the school regulations.
- Cafeteria / lunch service: cafeteria plated lunch is available and may be paid monthly or per day. Example published meal costs (monthly and per‑day examples published on the cafeteria page) include: monthly lunch totals around CRC 77,000–90,200 depending on grade band; per‑day lunch sample prices shown in the menu range from about CRC 3,500 to CRC 4,500 depending on grade. Cafeteria charges are billed separately from tuition.
- Clubs / after‑school activities and the extended‑hours program (‘‘Happy Times'' / after‑school) are optional and are charged separately; specific club and extended‑hours fees vary by activity and are billed in addition to tuition. Transport is a separately priced service with costs that vary by route/zone.

Fee payment methods and practical notes

- Accepted payment channels: deposit or bank transfer to the institution's bank accounts, payment in cash at the school offices or payment by cheque (subject to cheque clearance rules). If a cheque is returned for insufficient funds the school may require future payments in cash and may remove eligibility for any previously‑applied payment discounts. The payment regulation lists deposits/transfers to institutional bank accounts as the standard channels.
- Credit card payments are not listed among the standard payment channels in the institution's payment regulation; the documented channels are bank deposit/transfer, cash and cheque.

Summary (what a parent should expect to pay at enrollment)

- At enrollment you will typically pay the Matrícula (one‑time) plus the Materials fee where applicable (Preschool/Primary). In addition the first monthly instalment or the monthly payment plan will begin as described above. Monthly tuition is paid in 10 instalments (February–November). Late payments incur a 4% monthly surcharge and the school applies a CRC 10,000 prompt‑payment discount for payments made in the first 15 days of each monthly billing period. Sibling discounts apply for multiple enrolled children.
