Application / registration fees

- A Renewal of Registration fee for the following school year is billed a few months before the end of the current school year; families who do not pay the Renewal of Registration fee by the due date cannot be guaranteed a place. Proration of the Renewal of Registration fee is possible where offered. Billing and registration items are managed by the Accounts Office.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Families may choose to have the total cost of the school year billed in either 10 or 12 monthly payments. Bills are due by the 15th of the following month. The monthly bill includes tuition and fees for direct educational costs. Payment methods accepted include bank transfer, check, and Credomatic credit cards. For billing queries contact the Accounts Office.

Boarding

- Pan‑American School operates as a day school; boarding services are not provided.

Other costs and recurring extras

- Books and supplies: the purchase and rental of books are included in the monthly fee for all student levels; PlayKids through Preparatory receive supplies and materials included in the monthly supplies fee, while families of students in Grade 1 and above are responsible for purchasing specified materials as directed.

- Co‑curricular activities and sports: each student may register for one after‑school co‑curricular class and one sports co‑curricular (soccer, basketball or volleyball) at no extra charge; additional co‑curricular classes are charged separately.

- Uniforms: a school uniform is required; uniform purchase costs are separate from the monthly tuition charge and are arranged through the school's designated uniform supplier.

- Transportation: school transport (bus) is provided by external providers and is charged separately under the school's Transportation Regulations.

Pan-American School is a private international day school in San Antonio de Belén, Heredia, Costa Rica, serving students aged 1 to 18. It offers the IB Continuum (PYP, MYP, DP) alongside an American Curriculum and a Bespoke Curriculum, delivering a bilingual English-Spanish education within an inclusive, non-selective program. The school is the first IB Continuum in Costa Rica and is accredited by NEASC-CIE in the United States. The curriculum emphasizes skill development and a broad range of arts, design, and physical education, with social-emotional support and a focus on service and global sustainability. Languages taught are English and Spanish. The campus spans 35,000 m² in natural setting, with five classrooms, academic facilities, sports fields, and recreational spaces. It has 24-hour supervised entrances, Carbon Neutral certification via solar energy and recycling, and spaces rentable when not in session. Extracurriculars include Model United Nations (PASMUN), attracting over 300 participants from eight countries.
