Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The Canadian International School of Paris opened its doors in September 2015 as the first Canadian school in France. It offers a bilingual English–French curriculum for Canadian, French, and international families. It follows the British Columbia Ministry of Education curriculum and is accredited as a BC offshore school; teachers meet the province's certification standards and the school undergoes annual government inspections. With a new name, a new campus, and a growing international community, it delivers a Canadian bilingual and bicultural education rooted in strong academic standards, personalized support, and global engagement.

Community

Daily instruction is provided in both English and French, creating a truly bilingual and bicultural learning environment. The program emphasizes the arts, sports, and leadership opportunities to help students develop into capable, compassionate individuals. Diversity is actively embraced; students come from a wide range of cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds, and a safe, inclusive environment is fostered where all voices are valued. The school's approach is guided by the British Columbia School Act, supporting a respectful and inclusive community.
