The Canadian International School of Paris offers English and French bilingual education through a single curriculum taught in two languages, fostering intercultural understanding. The school follows a student-centered, inquiry-based approach that emphasizes autonomy, critical thinking, and creativity within a dynamic STEAM framework. The programs develop language skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging as students grow academically and personally. Diversity is actively embraced; students come from varied cultural, linguistic, and social backgrounds, and differences are respected. The school aims to cultivate global citizenship, lifelong learning, and the development of compassionate, well-rounded individuals who contribute to the world around them.
Learning Support Services are provided for students with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, or emotional and behavioural difficulties. SEN are identified through formal observations, evaluations, and assessments, informing instructional planning decisions and enabling equitable access to educational programs. Instructional planning for individual students is developed as either an adapted or modified academic program. The school is unable to accommodate students with moderate or severe disabilities, or those with significant conduct, communication, or emotional difficulties. The School reserves the right to adjust program fees during the school year based on a student's development and/or needs.
For non-native speakers, language support is offered to all students in Kindergarten through Grade 9 through intensive ELL (English Language Learning) and FLL (French Language Learning) programs. Students in Grades 10–12 must demonstrate a functional level of academic English or French to complete the British Columbia graduation assessments. Daily instruction in both English and French builds strong language skills and intercultural understanding, creating a bilingual and bi-cultural learning environment.
The school provides a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where students feel seen, supported, and valued. Diversity is actively embraced, with differences respected and voices heard, enabling all learners to thrive. The mission emphasizes developing thoughtful, resilient, globally minded citizens, and preparing students to contribute to the world beyond academics. The learning environment supports wellbeing by removing barriers so students can access education academically and personally, in line with the British Columbia School Act.
Safety and well-being are central; every student should feel safe, seen, and valued. Diversity is embraced, differences are respected, and voices are heard to ensure all learners can thrive. The approach follows the British Columbia School Act, which emphasizes helping learners develop their potential and contribute to a healthy, inclusive society. The school is committed to removing barriers so no student's background, identity, or learning style limits access to success.
