iDSP runs a cafeteria for students from Monday to Friday. Since 2023, catering is provided by Les Marmites Volantes, using fresh, seasonal ingredients; meals are prepared the day before and delivered by an electric vehicle, including a starter, a main course with vegetables, and a dessert. Weekly, two vegetarian options plus one meat-based and one fish-based option are offered, with a daily vegetarian meal also available; meals can be ordered for the full semester or year, at 8€ per meal per semester, 7.50€ per meal per year, or 9.50€ for meals without registration; orders are placed via Ecole Directe.
The iDSP is the only German-language international school in Paris operating under German pedagogy. The school is funded and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office, represented by the German Embassy Paris, and carried by the Deutscher Schulverein Paris. The principal has overall responsibility for organization and education, and the school administration handles administrative affairs and the maintenance of the buildings.
Deutsche Schule Paris (iDSP) is a German international school in Paris, operated by the Deutsche Schulverein Paris and funded by the German Foreign Office via the German Embassy Paris. It serves children from ages 3 to 18 and offers a bespoke German curriculum alongside a French curriculum, with a strong emphasis on German-language instruction up to the Abitur and AbiBac. The campus includes Villa Kunterbunt (kindergarten), Grundschule and Sekundarstufe, three libraries, and a Kantine that provides daily meals prepared by Les Marmites Volantes. Ganztagsschule runs after‑school activities from 14:00 to 15:30, while Betreuungszentrum provides after‑school care from 15:30 to 18:30. Language learning is multilingual, with German, French and English taught in small groups; core subjects include mathematics, sciences, geography, politics, history, art, music, sport, and electives. iDSP traces its origins to 1958 and maintains a bilingual approach aimed at enabling graduates to pursue higher education worldwide, including Abitur and AbiBac.
