German as a mother tongue (Grades 1–12) and German as a foreign language (Grades 1–8); French as a foreign language (Grades 1–12) and French as a native language (Grades 1–12); History and Geography are taught in French (Grade 7 and Grades 9–12). English is taught from Grades 5–12. Latin and Spanish certificate courses are offered outside the regular program. An introductory course to French (Heranführkurs) is offered from Grade 6 to Grade 12 to align language levels. The AbiBac program combines the German Abitur with the French Baccalauréat.
German language and culture are central; German is taught as a mother tongue (Deutsch als Muttersprache) from Grade 1 to 12, and German as a foreign language (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) from Grade 1 to 8. French is taught as a foreign language (Französisch als Fremdsprache) from Grade 1 to 12 and as a native language (Französisch als Muttersprache) from Grade 1 to 12. English has a significant role, with two primary-level language clubs for beginners and advanced learners, and a cross‑grade group for strong English learners in Grades 5–6.
In the kindergarten, German as a second language is introduced through immersion (a bain de langue). The child is immersed in a German-language environment to learn unconsciously and become comfortable with languages. A weekly language-bath program is led by a German-speaking educator in small groups, reinforcing the immersion approach.
