Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school centers kindness, respect for others, autonomy and collaboration to help children develop cognitive and emotional empathy for living well together. It uses small classes (up to 20 students) and a bilingual, interactive teaching approach with a strong focus on sports, physical education, and cultural and artistic activities.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school serves gifted children (enfants précoces) from kindergarten through secondary, with a bilingual program designed to meet the needs of highly able learners within a supportive, inclusive environment.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The school teaches bilingual English-French education. Maternelle classes are fully bilingual, with 50% of instruction in English and 50% in French, supervised by two language teachers who integrate Montessori pedagogy. The program includes Français Langue Étrangère (FLE) for non-French native speakers and prepares students within an English-language curriculum; Cambridge English examinations have a 100% success rate since 2010 (Starters to KET).

Mental Wellbeing

École Galilée is a private bilingual international school in Paris, established in 2010, located at 71 rue Chardon Lagache in the 16th arrondissement. It serves ages 3 to 15, offering Kindergarten, Primary and College within a bilingual framework and a pathway toward trilingual education. The curriculum combines the French National Curriculum, the British Curriculum, Montessori methods and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). Kindergarten learning is 50% English and 50% French, with two teachers per class and Maria Montessori materials. Primary is bilingual and aligned with the National Education program and the English Curriculum; from CE1, Spanish is introduced to create a tri-lingual environment. The College provides a triple curriculum in English, French and Spanish until the brevet des collèges, supported by an excellence program that emphasizes solidarity and teamwork and a progression to Lycée. Gifted education is individualized. The school embodies values in a secular setting today.
