Les Colibris International Montessori School was founded in 2009 as a social commitment to children, promoting development so they can live their lives to the fullest. In 2015 the school moved to larger facilities, 1,200 m2 indoors with 3,000 m2 of outdoor space, in a green setting in the Brague National Park in Sophia Antipolis. The school is accredited by AMF (Association Montessori France) and ISMM (Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori), one of 14 Montessori schools in France with accreditation. An International Montessori Middle School class for ages 12-15 opened at the start of the 2020 school year, with a partnership with Thorenc pedagogical farm for full-board secondary education.
A warm and involved parent association (APC) contributes to the life of the school and the education of children through numerous actions and exchanges between parents and the school. The school offers Colibris Kids Club, a holiday program for children aged 2 to 12, with activities such as April 2026, Toussaint, and Summer Camp 2025. The bilingual program provides education in French and English to prepare children to open up to the world. The school emphasizes contact with nature through outdoor activities and a nature-focused environment.
The APC is the active parent association that contributes to life at the school and to the education of children through many actions and exchanges between parents and the school. The APC is a central part of the school community, with information available about its activities in the Discover the APC section. It supports events and activities that involve families and help enrich school programs. Parent involvement through the APC helps connect families with staff and school life. The association collaborates with the school to enhance the overall student experience.
