The school was founded in 2006 as EBICA Ecole Bilingue Internationale Côte d'Azur (Côte d'Azur Bilingual International School), located in the Sophia Antipolis technology park in Valbonne to serve local and expatriate families seeking a bilingual international school on the French Riviera. In 2018 Globeducate signed a partnership to manage the school and its development strategy, and the IB organisation authorised the Primary Years Programme (PYP). In 2020 the school's name changed to ICS Côte d'Azur for students ages three to 11. In 2021 ICS opened a dedicated STEAM facility called The Hub. In 2022 ICS Côte d'Azur was recognised with two Globeducate awards: Regional School of the Year for France 2022 and Globeducate School of the Year 2022. In 2024 the school undertook major renovations to the Early Years wing, the médiathèque, staff room and classroom furniture. In 2025 an Early Childhood Centre opened in the building opposite the primary school. In 2026 the school opened a 2-Year-Old Kindergarten Class.
ICS Côte d'Azur is a bilingual IB World School in Valbonne near Nice that welcomes children from France and around the world to learn in a multicultural environment.
