Founders are Guy Mielcarek (co-founder, retired March 2024), Janel Hooven-Boulogne (co-founder, Head of School), and Arnaud Damery (co-founder, Financial Officer). The school's legal status is "Société à Mission", with a governing board, an advisory board and a non-profit association to fulfill its mission. All high school students entering grade 11 will prepare the Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate, an internationally-recognized diploma that can be prepared in either French or English and can include a home language - literature course. The founders and leadership established an environment that supports bilingual education and international-mindedness.

International School Strasbourg is an IB World School in France that serves students from ages 3 to 18, delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
