Lycée International - British Section

The British Section operates across five sites in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Le Pecq within the Lycée International Saint-Germain-en-Laye network. The main site is Lycée International, Saint-Germain-en-Laye Cedex, 2 bis rue du Fer-à-Cheval, CS 40118, 78105 Saint-Germain-en-Laye Cedex. Host sites include École Jehan Alain (Le Pecq), École Félix Éboué (Le Pecq), École Internationale (Saint-Germain-en-Laye), Collège Pierre et Marie Curie (Le Pecq), Collège Les Hauts-Grillets (Saint-Germain-en-Laye), and École élémentaire du Lycée International (Saint-Germain-en-Laye). The Lycée International site houses the Upper School (Seconde–Terminale) with British Section classes on site.

Nursery (3-5) at École Jehan Alain in Le Pecq; Primary (6-11) at École Félix Éboué (Le Pecq) and at École Internationale (Saint-Germain-en-Laye); Middle School (12-15) at Collège Pierre et Marie Curie (Le Pecq) and Collège Les Hauts-Grillets (Saint-Germain-en-Laye); Upper School (16-18) at Lycée International, Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

The British Section provides an English-language program within the Lycée International Saint-Germain-en-Laye and partner schools, alongside the French curriculum.

Pastoral care is provided across the network; British Section Site Coordinators at Collège Pierre et Marie Curie and Collège Les Hauts Grillets, plus Pastoral Coordinators at the Collège and Lycée International site, work with the Senior Leadership Team to support pupils. A comprehensive counselling service is provided for Years 11 to 13.

France

School days vary by site: Jehan Alain (Nursery) begins at 08:20 and ends at 16:20; Félix Éboué (Primary) begins at 08:30 and ends at 16:30; École élémentaire du Lycée International (Primary) begins at 08:45 and ends at 16:15; there are no lessons on Wednesday afternoons at Collège sites.

Access to British Section sites is via a train network (RER) from Paris to Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Le Pecq with connecting buses, a public bus service for mornings and evenings, and a school-bus service operated in some communities where coverage is limited.

Application fees

- Maternelle (Petite to Grande Section): EUR 160 (paid on application; non‑refundable).
- Primary (CP to CM2): EUR 200 (paid on application; non‑refundable).
- Secondary (Sixième to Terminale): EUR 250 (paid on application; non‑refundable).

Entrance / Admissions fees and advance on tuition

- Admissions (non‑refundable) to reserve a place: Maternelle to Troisième: EUR 1,500 per child.
- Admissions (non‑refundable) to reserve a place: Seconde to Terminale: EUR 1,750 per child.
- Advance on tuition fees (paid on acceptance to reserve the place): EUR 500 per child; this advance is deducted from the fees invoice issued in September of the year of entry.

Tuition fees — Standard rates (where an employer pays the whole or part of annual tuition)

- Nursery — Petite Section (UK Nursery): Annual EUR 3,746. Per term (dividing the annual fee into three equal termly payments): EUR 1,248.67.
- Nursery — Moyenne to Grande Section (UK Nursery/Reception to Reception/Year 1): Annual EUR 7,492. Per term (÷3): EUR 2,497.33.
- Primary — CP to CM2 (UK Years 2–6): Annual EUR 7,492. Per term (÷3): EUR 2,497.33.
- Secondary — Sixième to Troisième (UK Years 7–10): Annual EUR 7,730. Per term (÷3): EUR 2,576.67.
- Secondary — Seconde to Terminale (UK Years 11–13): Annual EUR 9,090. Per term (÷3): EUR 3,030.00.

Tuition fees — Reduced rates (where families are entirely responsible for payment of annual tuition)

- Nursery — Petite Section (UK Nursery): Annual EUR 1,987. Per term (÷3): EUR 662.33.
- Nursery — Moyenne to Grande Section (UK Nursery/Reception to Reception/Year 1): Annual EUR 3,972. Per term (÷3): EUR 1,324.00.
- Primary — CP to CM2 (UK Years 2–6): Annual EUR 3,972. Per term (÷3): EUR 1,324.00.
- Secondary — Sixième to Troisième (UK Years 7–10): Annual EUR 4,340. Per term (÷3): EUR 1,446.67.
- Secondary — Seconde to Terminale (UK Years 11–13): Annual EUR 5,633. Per term (÷3): EUR 1,877.67.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- An invoice for fees is issued in September of the year of entry; the EUR 500 advance on tuition paid at acceptance is deducted from that invoice.
- Parents are encouraged to pay by direct debit, either in one payment or in instalments. The school uses an online payments system (Hello Asso) to accept payments for applications and activities.

Boarding fees

- Boarding: Not applicable to the British Section (no boarding fees are charged).

Other costs and fees

- IGCSE examination fees for optional subjects not taught by Section teachers (charged separately).
- School trips and outings (charged separately as required).
- Certain charges levied by French administration (for example, School Fund contributions).
- Canteen (school meals) — charged separately.
- School bus pass — charged separately.

Refund information

- Application fees are paid on application and are non‑refundable.
- Admissions (entrance) fees are non‑refundable.
- The EUR 500 advance on tuition is deducted from the September invoice.
