Founded in 1923 in Neuilly-sur-Seine by Mother Marie Joseph Butler as a study-abroad program for Marymount College students in Tarrytown, New York. Marymount Paris is an independent Catholic international school serving children ages 2-14. It is part of the Global Network of RSHM Schools and is the oldest international school in France, having celebrated its centenary. The school emphasizes educating the heart and mind, holistic development, and active citizenship within a diverse, faith-based community.
The English language is the primary language in a multilingual community with over 32 languages spoken. As part of the Global Network of RSHM Schools, Marymount Paris students have access to travel opportunities, exchange programs, festivals and conferences, guest speakers, and a multi-country Model UN conference. Spiritual life is central, with regular chapel services, all-school masses, sacraments, retreats, and liturgies. Service learning projects are integrated into the curriculum to connect learning with real-world issues.
The Marymount Paris Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is central to the Marymount community. It provides a support network for families. The PTO contributes to school life through fundraising. It organizes events throughout the year to bring families together. It helps welcome and support new families joining during the year. The PTO activities sustain school traditions and strengthen community connections.
