New School Lyon has a history of more than 45 years. It opened its doors with an avant-garde idea. Since 1979, New School welcomes pupils from a very young age, sharing the official French curriculum with dynamic English-language learning. English is an indispensable language in today's world, and bilingualism prepares students for success in their studies and future careers. The school adopts an active, personalized teaching approach based on thematic projects of general and scientific culture, and it considers each child's identity, personality, and psychology.
New School Lyon welcomes students from diverse backgrounds with small class sizes that enable a personalized, bilingual immersion from an early age. It is a friendly, human-scale community that prioritizes children's well-being and personal development, with teaching methods tuned to each child's rhythm and needs. On-site meals are prepared by a chef, and after-school options include supervised study and activities. An Open Day is held, with the next planned for March 28, 2026.
The Parents' Association (APE) is the link between families and the school management. The APE is active and involved in the life of the school. It supports the school/parent relationship to enrich children's development through activities and events, and to organize events directly for children and parents. Contact is apenewschool@gmail.com or via the online contact form. APE works to strengthen parent engagement and support the school community.
