Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Step 1. Fill in the online pre-registration form for the current school year 2025–2026 or for the start of the 2026–2027 school year. The online form takes about five minutes to complete. You will receive a response within 48 hours. Availability for next steps is confirmed after submission.

Step 2. A presentation of the school is arranged according to your availability. If attendance in person is not possible, an online presentation can be arranged. The presentation covers curriculum, bilingual approach, and school philosophy to help families understand what Open Sky International offers.

Step 3. A meeting is arranged with your family to present the curriculum and provide all necessary information. If you cannot attend in person, an online meeting can be organized. The meeting helps families understand the environment and expectations for students.

Step 4. Admissions details are finalised for your child. The process includes information about health issues, learning support needs, or accessibility requirements, which should be communicated via the admissions form. If there are referrals to a psychologist or speech therapist, provide details so they can be considered. Reasonable adjustments are provided where needed.

Step 5. An assessment of the child's academic level and language level in French and English is conducted. The assessment may be a written test or a day in the classroom; online tests can be organized if needed. The assessment helps determine the appropriate curriculum for the child and whether language support is required.

Step 6. Your child joins Open Sky International. The admission process is designed to be straightforward and welcoming. The school provides transition support and follows up after joining to ensure a smooth start.

Step 7. Admission requirements. The school admits children from nursery to Year 13, with a minimum age of 2 years. For children with little or no knowledge of French and/or English, intensive courses are offered in small groups (2–3 children) for 6–9 months until they can follow classes in both languages. After acceptance, the child is followed up individually.
