SEK-Les Alpes has integrated facilities set in a unique alpine environment. A limited-capacity boarding residence is provided. Common spaces promote well-being and personal development, and there is a culture of respect where every student is accountable for their personal development and academic progress. Learning Outside-In harnesses the mountains and woodlands as outdoor classrooms, with learning taking place beyond the classroom walls. All courses and activities are in English. SEK-Les Alpes is located in Flumet, Saint Nicolas la Chapelle, in the French Alps, at about 1,000 m above sea level, near Switzerland and Italy.
Sports and cultural activities are included in the SEK-Les Alpes program, with visits and outings linked to the curriculum. Ski lessons with the French Ski School (FFS) and a ski pass are provided as part of the six-week modules. SEK-Les Alpes offers an international community living experience with peers from SEK schools around the world. Learning Outside-In uses mountains and woodlands as outdoor classrooms to enable experiential learning in a natural setting. Autonomy, self-esteem, resilience, leadership, curiosity and discovery are developed through the experience.
SEK International School Les Alpes is an English-language IB middle years programme (MYP) campus in the French Alps, serving students aged 12 to 16. The curriculum is harmonised with the IB MYP, delivered through six-week modules each year from MYP 1 to MYP 5. Over five years, students spend six weeks annually at SEK-Les Alpes with peers from SEK schools worldwide, promoting a global learning community. The campus features a limited-capacity boarding residence and integrated facilities set in an alpine environment at about 1,000 meters above sea level, near Megève and Albertville. All courses and activities are taught in English, with Learning Outside-In using mountains and woodlands as outdoor classrooms. The school is part of the SEK Education Group, with a long history and 10 campuses; it is the only private school in France recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Ski lessons and insurance are included, with autonomous learning.
