The GBS program provides daily after-school care and holiday coverage, with a dedicated period for meals, homework time, and supervised activities. Activities include science experiments and chess. Educators delivering the activities speak either French or German, enabling bilingual engagement.
The after-school program includes arts and creative activities such as visual arts (arts plastiques), sewing (couture), and pastry making (pe2tisserie). It also includes music and performance activities such as choir (chorale) and percussion (percussions). Other craft activities include bricolage.
Activities are offered by educators speaking French or German. Language of delivery is indicated by color coding on the schedule (blue for French, orange for German). This supports a bilingual after-school environment.
The program includes a wide range of social and hobby activities. Breakdance, choir, capoeira, and various crafts are scheduled across the week. Sports such as football and basketball are offered, along with board games (jeux de société), media activities, and free play.
The school has a common vision document for the GBS program. It also has a child protection concept in place. The GBS framework is aligned with Hamburg's city education program, and you can contact the GBS coordination for administrative questions.

An activities block from 15:00 to 16:00 provides physical activity and recreational time. The program offers a safe, structured environment that promotes social interaction and overall well-being.
Located in Hamburg’s Lokstedt district, École Française de Hambourg (EFHH) serves students from age three through eighteen. The school follows the French National Education curriculum, leading to the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalaureate. A defining feature of the primary years is the Parity Bilingual Stream, where students receive equal instruction hours in French and German. The campus at Hartsprung features specialized science laboratories, a dedicated multimedia library (BCD/CDI), and indoor sports facilities. A unique initiative at EFHH is the "Sextant" program, which provides individualized guidance for students planning higher education pathways in France, Germany, or other international destinations. As part of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) network, the school maintains a specific focus on linguistic integration. Facilities include a daily canteen service providing hot meals and a private bus network for student transportation across the city.
