Fee Breakdown

Fees
Application fees

- The school charges an ibsm registration fee (Anmeldegebühr) as part of the admission process.

Tuition fees by school year / term

- The parental tuition contribution is income-dependent and calculated using an ibsm fee calculator based on gross annual family income. The school publishes the calculator and describes an "ibsm monthly fee" as the relevant contribution metric, rather than fixed published tuition rates by year group. No fixed per-term or per-year fee schedule by year group is publicly published.

Billing schedule and payment terms

- Fees are described in terms of a monthly parental contribution ("ibsm monthly fee") determined by submitted income documents; the site indicates the actual parental contribution will be determined from those documents. A specific, published billing schedule (for example, exact due dates, termly invoicing, or instalment options) and formal payment terms are not provided in the publicly available materials.

Boarding fees (if applicable)

- The school operates as a state-approved all-day (day) school and does not present itself as a boarding school; there are no boarding fees published.

Other costs and fees (uniforms, transport, exams, activities, etc.)

- The school states that its costs are met by parental contributions and government subsidies and that additional costs related to the school's support programme are met through parent contributions and external sponsoring. No itemised public list of additional compulsory costs (uniforms, transport/bus fees, meal plans, IB/assessment/exam fees, classroom materials, or extracurricular activity charges) with amounts is provided.

Refund information

- No publicly published refund policy for registration or tuition payments was found in the school's available download materials.

Fee payment options (credit card, bank transfer, direct debit, etc.)

- No specific payment methods (credit card, bank transfer, direct debit, online payment portal) are published in the publicly available materials.

Brief summary of findings and limits of the publicly available information

- What is published: the school uses an income-based parental contribution model calculated by an ibsm fee calculator; a registration fee is charged; the school is funded by parental contributions together with government subsidies; the school is a state-approved all-day (day) school.

- What is not published / could not be located in the available materials: fixed numeric tuition rates broken down by year group and by term; a detailed billing schedule with due dates or instalment options; amounts for registration, uniforms, transport, meals, exam fees, or any other specific ancillary fees; a published refund policy; and the accepted payment methods.

International Bilingual School Munich offers a full-day program and IB World School status since 2017. It combines the IB Primary Years Programme with the Bavarian LehrplanPLUS curriculum for ages 6 to 11 inclusive, delivering core subjects in a bilingual English–German environment. In classes 1 to 4, English-speaking and German-speaking teachers work together under a one language model, with families able to choose a focus language and receive extra instruction. Assessments rely on performance-based methods—PYP portfolios, conferences, and ongoing feedback—alongside periodic standardised tests. IBSM has been state-approved since 2010 and runs four classes, normally up to 25 pupils per class, with all-day sessions from 9:00 to 16:00. The Lerchenauerstraße campus is complemented by a planned Feldmochinger Campus featuring a bilingual library, an auditorium, a roof terrace, and spaces for movement and sport; a Mensa serves meals. After-school activities include breakdance, yoga, swimming and art workshops; social-emotional learning is central to PYP.
