Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

ISA opened its doors in September 2005 with 65 local students. It has grown into a fully established, internationally accredited K-12 school with more than 350 students representing 38 nationalities. Founding members, many of whom remain in leadership and teaching roles, have provided stability and continuity of vision over the years. ISA was initiated by the Schwaben Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and in 18 years the school has built a strong reputation in the region, with more than 265 graduates who have gone on to universities, careers worldwide, or to start their own companies. A new campus is being developed to expand facilities and provide enhanced learning spaces for students and the community.

Community

ISA's community is the heart of the school, with every student, parent, teacher, and staff member feeling connected, supported, and valued. The community includes people from over 40 countries, creating a diverse and inclusive environment that enriches learning. Parents are deeply involved in school life, from supporting classroom activities to participating in our parent-teacher organizations. Beyond the classroom, events, service projects, and extracurricular activities bring the ISA family together, and an alumni network connects graduates worldwide.

Parent-Teacher Association

Friends of ISA (Freunde der International School Augsburg ISA e.V.) is a not-for-profit association formed to support ISA, its students, parents, and teachers both financially and in spirit. The association contributes to the development of an international school project and to the infrastructure of the local business region. Since its founding in 2006, it has grown and carries out a range of projects. Member contributions and donations fund teaching materials, learning resources, field trips, and building projects to maintain and expand the school. Membership and donations are invited to support ongoing growth and provide a modern learning environment.
