Application / Registration fee
- Registration fee: EUR 1,950 one-time, payable on enrollment. This fee is non-refundable.
School development (maintenance) fee
- Applies to all students from EE upward. EUR 2,500 payable in the 1st year of admission and EUR 2,500 payable in the 2nd year of admission. The fee is payable by 25 August or immediately upon enrollment during the school year. This fee is not refundable upon withdrawal.
Sibling discount
- For Grades 1–12: the two oldest children are charged the full tuition; subsequent siblings receive a 10% reduction. This sibling reduction does not apply when tuition is paid by a parent's employer.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Payment options for tuition:
- One-time annual payment equal to the monthly fee × 12, due 25 August.
- Twelve monthly instalments due on the 25th of each month, beginning 25 August.
- Direct debit (bank direct debit/SEPA) is available and current direct debit authorizations remain in force until revoked. For payments from foreign bank accounts, include sufficient funds to cover any transfer charges applied by the paying bank.
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not offered; the school operates as a day school and therefore no boarding fees apply.
Other costs and fees
- Additional costs not included in tuition: field trips, classroom materials, MYP/IB registration and examination fees, bus service, and catering (lunch). Specific charges for these items are invoiced separately.
Refund information
- The Registration Fee (EUR 1,950) is non-refundable. The School Development Fee (EUR 2,500 for first and second year of admission) is not refundable on withdrawal. No other general refund provisions for tuition are published within the fee schedule; other refundable/credit arrangements would be addressed under the school's billing policies.
Payment methods accepted
- Bank transfer and direct debit are accepted. Invoices are issued and may be paid by bank transfer; direct debit authorisations are used until revoked. For international bank transfers, allow for payer bank transfer charges.
International School Mainfranken (ISM) is a private IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). The PYP serves ages 6–12 with inquiry-based, cross-disciplinary learning across six transdisciplinary themes. The MYP covers core subjects—English, German, mathematics, social studies, sciences, physical education and health, design, arts, and music—and prepares students for the DP. The DP includes subjects from six IB groups and the core components: Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity and Service. Most subjects are taught in English; German is a first language and Spanish a second language, with other languages available on request. Preschool begins at age 5 with full English immersion; ISM offers a full-day program with small classes and a focus on intercultural competence. Facilities include a modern gymnasium, extensive outdoor spaces, and a rich club program. The Diploma Programme is recognized by KMK in Germany.
