Berlin Euro Parliament is a model of the European Parliament for students aged 14 to 18. In this setting, participants work in French, English and German as euro deputies with their country and party and draft and defend resolutions and laws. The commissions include AFET + DROI, DEVE + FISC, FEMM + SANT, ENVI + INTA, and EMPL + LIBE. Berlin Euro Parliament is a multi-school event with participants from many establishments across several countries.
The FG Berlin Jazz-band FG-DUR performed at the Kammermusiksaal of the Philharmonie Berlin on May 8, 2023. FLOPSTARS is the school's talent show featuring music, student and teacher bands, a choir and sketches. The theatre season runs from March to May 2026 with five performances for school audiences and all ages. Künstlerwoche, or Artist Week, is scheduled for February 23–27, 2026 to celebrate the arts.
Berlin Euro Parliament is conducted in French, English and German. Since 2019 the school participates in the Erasmus+ mobility program to offer international experiences. Trips such as to Dublin and Cherbourg are part of the school's travel and exchange activities.
RADIO FGB is a student‑run webradio with programs including La minute Debate, Le Kultur, L'actu prend le S-Bahn and FG-Interview. The school also hosts arts events such as the theatre season and the artist-focused Künstlerwoche. The Jazz-band FG-DUR performs at school and public events, and FLOPSTARS showcases student and teacher talents.
Since 2018 the FG Berlin sustainability initiative runs with class eco‑delegates, monthly meetings, debates and themed workshops, waste sorting and a school garden. Students, parents, teachers and staff work together to advance environmental education and reduce the school's ecological footprint. A dedicated blog documents the development of the sustainability project.
Juniorwahl 2025 saw 138 students vote in a Bundestag junior election with a turnout of 65.09%, and the Greens winning. The school supports student representation through the Schülervertretung (SV) as described in the school's development project. These activities strengthen student leadership and participation in school life.
93 students ran in the Mini Marathon Berlin 2025, completing 4.219 km. The Winterball 2026 on February 20 was organized by a student committee together with the Förderverein. Künstlerwoche and the theatre season provide cultural and social events throughout the year.
Founded in 1689 as the Collège Français, Lycée Français de Berlin is the oldest French lycée in the world and a member of the AEFE network. It is homologated by the French state and provides continuous education from 5th grade through Terminale for students aged about 12 to 18, regardless of nationality. The school hosts roughly 830 students from about 50 nationalities and employs around 120 certified professionals. The curriculum combines the French state program with German elements, emphasizing languages: Latin from 5th grade up to Latinum, Ancient Greek from 4th grade to Graecum, English from 6th grade, and optional Spanish from 4th. Students may pursue Abitur and Baccalauréat diplomas. In science, options include mathematics, physics-chemistry, and earth sciences, with maths experts and maths complémentaires tracks. A strong intercultural profile is fostered through intensive French, daily international interaction, cultural activities, language exchanges, and international exchanges across Europe for students and staff.
