Over 8000 m² (86000 ft²) of teaching and learning space provide more space per student than any other school in the region. Large, bright classrooms are complemented by two libraries, a cafeteria, music rooms, an information technology suite, science laboratories, visual arts spaces, a food technology studio and multi-function rooms. The school features the largest sports hall in the city of Frankfurt, with outside areas including a spacious playground, a football pitch, and a rooftop sports field, plus a quiet zone and an area dedicated to Early Years learners. A building project in 2024/25 adds 3300 m² with 12 new classrooms and 9 learning spaces, a new Primary/EY library, large arts and music classrooms, a 700-seat theatre, and environmentally friendly features such as green façades, green roofs and solar panels.

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is offered in the Secondary School; Bronze level will be offered to G9, with Silver and Gold planned for subsequent years. The Award comprises four parts: Service, Skills, Fitness and Expedition, and is supported by a timetabled class, after-school clubs and practice expeditions; completion aligns with IB CAS and enhances university applications.
Metropolitan School Frankfurt is an international school for ages 3 to 18 in Germany. The curriculum combines the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) in Early Years and Primary School with the Cambridge IGCSE (Grades 6–10) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) for Grades 11–12, alongside an American Curriculum option. The Diploma Programme is built on six subject groups with a DP Core (Creativity, Activity, Service; Theory of Knowledge; Extended Essay). The DP is recognised for university entrance and provides transparency for German university admission requirements. In 2023 graduates averaged 37 points (out of 45), with a high of 41.
