Founded in 1953 as King's House School on Lee Road by a British family who sought quality education for their sons in Kolkata. Miss Barth was appointed as the first principal. Officially registered as Calcutta International School in 1970. The school relocated to its current Anandapur campus in 2006, growing from 2 students to over 700.

Calcutta International School, founded in 1953, serves international and local communities in Kolkata from its Anandapur campus.
