Arts education at JIRS encompasses Visual Arts and Performing Arts. Visual Arts includes Art and Painting, Clay Modelling, Paper Craft, Mehendi Designing, Soft Toys, Cartooning, Face Painting, Floral Carpet, Digital Painting, Vegetable Carving and Flower Arrangement, with six months of training to provide a broad experience before pursuing advanced study. Performing Arts offer vocal and instrumental music as well as drama and dance, with multiple singing groups and a chamber orchestra. The program also provides lessons in instruments such as Electronic Pad, Tabla, Wind Instrument, Percussion, String Instrument, Guitar, Casio, Western Drums and Congo, along with Hindustani Vocal, Carnatic Classical Music, Classical Dance, Light Music, Drama, and Cookery.
Harvard Model Congress is the largest congressional simulation for high school students, allowing students to assume roles of world leaders and international decision-makers to address global challenges. Model United Nations provides a platform for Grades 11 and 12 to play delegates from various countries, negotiate, deliver speeches, and resolve real-world issues, fostering leadership, critical thinking, teamwork and global awareness. These experiences develop public speaking, negotiation and cross-cultural understanding.
Recreational and Hobby Club offers activities to maintain an active and healthy mind, including yoga, meditation, painting, acting, quiz, music, and dance. Histrionics Club provides a platform for drama, music and dance, while the Painting Gallery inspires artists and the Adventure Club offers trekking, parasailing, mountaineering, river rafting, jungle survival, and boating. Sunday hobby classes run for grades IV to IX from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, allowing students to explore their passions in a structured setting.
Social Responsibility develops social values, emotional intelligence, political leadership and economic prudence to build a harmonious society. Education Breaks provide annual global trips to broaden understanding, such as experiences at NASA conventions and Swarovski Crystal Museum in Austria. Outdoor Travel includes adventure tours and the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, fostering teamwork and leadership through challenging journeys; about 113 students participate, with 50 Bronze and 63 Silver medal achievers. Think Green programs sensitize students to nature, building communication, leadership, crisis management and team management skills.

Sports Education forms an integral part of JIRS, with an elite sports curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities. The Sports Fit Program offers daily hour-long sessions including a variety of sports such as golf, ten pin bowling, squash, equestrian riding, cricket, football, basketball, hockey, table tennis, tennis, badminton, and more, with students choosing sports each day. The SportsPro Program provides sport-specific, intensive training with 16 disciplines and 35 coaches, plus scientific training methods for strength, speed, power, flexibility and endurance and opportunities for international competition. The program emphasizes teamwork, leadership and lifelong healthy lifestyle habits, supported by video analysis and nutrition planning.
