Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

ACS Bali is a newly established institution preparing to open its doors to foundation families for the 2025–2026 academic year. It operates under the financial entity Yayasan Adi Cita Sakti and is an extension of the established Singaporean "ACS brand of education." The broader Anglo-Chinese School (ACS) network, which ACS Bali is modeled after, was originally founded in Singapore in 1886 by Bishop William F. Oldham under a Methodist Mission. The Bali campus aims to replicate the educational approach of ACS (International) in Singapore, bringing an international curriculum within an Asian context.

Community

The core of the ACS Bali community is its traditional House System, which groups older and younger students together to cultivate a united, family-like environment. Initially opening with two houses—Oldham House and Thoburn House—the system is designed to foster strong house spirit and leadership through friendly rivalry and various student competitions.

Parent-Teacher Association

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) or specific parent-led events, groups, and activities at this time.

ACS Bali, opening for the 2025-2026 academic year, is situated within the Kura Kura Bali eco-development. The 4.8-hectare campus operates in an area characterized by mangrove forests and marine environments. Following the "ACS brand of education," the school instructs students using the Cambridge International Curriculum for Grades 1 through 10, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Grades 11 and 12. A central feature of the student experience is the traditional House System, which groups students into specific factions (Oldham House and Thoburn House) to encourage community integration and peer support across different grade levels. Students also participate in scheduled Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) every afternoon. Rooted in its Methodist heritage, the institution focuses on Christian values and character development, preparing students for university pathways through structured academics and dedicated service leadership initiatives.
