Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

ACS Bali integrates social and emotional support through a structured pastoral care network centered around homeroom and form teachers. In the Primary School, homeroom teachers monitor conduct, encourage high standards, develop character, and observe peer relationships while offering direct guidance. Form teachers carry out this same role for students in the Secondary School. This structure is designed to ensure every student feels safe, affirmed, and contented, thereby helping them achieve their full potential.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding Special Educational Needs (SEN) provisions, supported conditions, or specialized SEN staff.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The school does not publicly disclose information regarding English as an Additional Language (EAL) provisions, dedicated staff, or specific language support programs.

Mental Wellbeing

Mental wellbeing at ACS Bali is primarily managed through the daily observations and guidance provided by the pastoral care network of homeroom and form teachers. To support more complex needs, the school is appointing a specialist Emotional Counsellor.

Safeguarding

ACS Bali maintains a Code of Conduct that explicitly outlines the responsibility of all members to ensure the community feels safe and secure at all times. The school enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of bullying behavior. However, comprehensive child protection protocols or formal safeguarding policy documents are not publicly disclosed on the website.

ACS Bali, opening for the 2025-2026 academic year, is situated within the Kura Kura Bali eco-development. The 4.8-hectare campus operates in an area characterized by mangrove forests and marine environments. Following the "ACS brand of education," the school instructs students using the Cambridge International Curriculum for Grades 1 through 10, culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for Grades 11 and 12. A central feature of the student experience is the traditional House System, which groups students into specific factions (Oldham House and Thoburn House) to encourage community integration and peer support across different grade levels. Students also participate in scheduled Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) every afternoon. Rooted in its Methodist heritage, the institution focuses on Christian values and character development, preparing students for university pathways through structured academics and dedicated service leadership initiatives.
