ACS Jakarta emphasizes intellectual, personal, emotional, and social growth within a holistic learning environment. There are dedicated school counselors for both primary and secondary students to support wellbeing. The school does not cater for special needs students.
The language of instruction is English. All main English Language classes are taught by expatriate teachers from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. Students with limited English may be required to attend a bridging English Language course before admission; these bridging sessions run on Saturdays.

There is a full-time Methodist Chaplain at the school. The campus has policies and practices to support safety, with all visitors required to report to Security on arrival. A CCTV monitoring system covers strategic locations and security guards are stationed across the grounds to enhance safety.
ACS Jakarta is a K‑12 international school in Cilangkap and an IB World School with Cambridge Centre status. The curriculum includes Cambridge Primary, Cambridge IGCSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. A three‑year Pre‑IB pathway for Grade 10 leads into the IBDP, while the IGCSE pathway feeds DP. The IBDP comprises six subject groups plus DP Core (TOK, EE, CAS). In the DP, Group 1 offers English A, Indonesian A and Korean A; Group 2 includes Language B and Ab Initio; Groups 3–6 cover Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics and Arts. DP grade runs 1–7. On an eight‑hectare campus, ACS Jakarta provides wifi classrooms and spaces for art, science, music, language and sport, plus a library. Facilities include a Performing Arts Theater and Tan Siong Kie Hall, two dance rooms and six music rooms, a clinic, cafeteria and green spaces. The school emphasizes holistic development and service to others through co‑curricular activities plus university preparation.
