The Kindergarten program is guided on the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework) of the WA curriculum. The EYLF includes five learning development areas: Identity, Connecting & Contributing, Wellbeing, Learning, and Communication. Wellbeing is a core part of the EYLF and supports students' social and emotional development within play-based learning. The WA curriculum framework helps students transition to Primary to Year 10 education through the Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines from SCSA. The program emphasizes building identity, relationships, inclusion, and communication in a multicultural classroom environment.

Australian Intercultural School Batam offers the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline (K–10), integrated with the Indonesian National Curriculum. AIS Batam is the first and only school in Batam to offer this curriculum, delivered under the Australian Education System with an International Education Certificate. The program uses SCSA moderation twice a year to align assessments with Western Australian standards and to support consistent evaluation. The aim is to develop lifelong learners who can thrive in a diverse world and contribute positively to the community. Facilities include an air-conditioned library with English, History and Science resources, a computer laboratory with 24 computers, an arts room, and a science lab. A sport court, an interactive smart board, and a large air-conditioned multi-purpose hall support PE, classroom learning, events and rehearsals.
