Bandung Independent School offers more than 36 extracurricular activities across academic and intellectual pursuits. Academic options include Junior Math Club, Senior Math Club, Model United Nations, Talking Hands, Chinese Story Telling, French Club, Indonesian Writing Workshop, English Language Club, and the Engineering Club. These activities emphasize peer leadership, collaboration, and inquiry beyond the classroom.
Creativity is supported by BIS through a broad arts program. Options include B: Inizio (BIS Musical Band), Origami, Fun Music, Drum Lessons, Guitar Lessons, and Student Choir. Other creative clubs include Lego Club, Step By Step Drawing, Something From Nothing, Papermakers Club, and Gamelan.
Language and culture activities include French Club, Indonesian Writing Workshop, Chinese Story Telling, and English Language Club. Model United Nations also fosters cross-cultural understanding. These clubs support language development and global awareness.

Bandung Independent School (BIS) is an International Baccalaureate continuum school for learners aged 2 to 18, offering the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. Located on a 1.2‑hectare campus just north of Bandung's city center, BIS serves expatriate and local families and educates nearly 200 students. The school is operated by Yayasan Komunitas Belajar Internasional Bandung as a non‑profit, guided by a mission, vision and values developed with involvement from parent volunteers. BIS is the only IB Continuum school in Bandung. The Primary Years Programme is provided in Elementary with daily English and Mathematics and a focus on developing international-mindedness; the MYP was authorized in 2022. The Diploma Programme includes Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity and Service. Facilities include a Performing Arts Center with a theatre, a 160‑seat English‑language library—the largest in Bandung—and spaces for Maker, culinary learning and science; plus outdoor play areas, sport facilities and science labs to support inquiry and hands‑on learning.
