Beacon Academy is authorised to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme. The Academic Pathway combines inquiry-based learning with a rigorous curriculum across IB and Cambridge frameworks, preparing students for tertiary education. Beacon is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is an IB World School, supporting international recognition of transcripts and ongoing growth. Beacon Academy has a strong performing and visual arts program. The Beacon Theatre seats over 500 and hosts music, dance, and drama performances throughout the year. Visual Arts are showcased in annual student exhibitions and artworks are displayed in city exhibitions. The arts are integrated across the curriculum to develop creativity and cultural awareness.
The medium of instruction is English. Learners begin Bahasa and Mandarin from Preschool. In later years, additional language offerings include Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, French, and Spanish. Mandarin and Hindi are also offered as language options.
The campus features a 2.3 hectare site with facilities for Science, Libraries, Maker Space & Robotics, and Performing Arts. There is a full-size football field, a half Olympic-size swimming pool, an indoor gymnasium, a tennis court, a golf putting range, and the Beacon Theatre for performances. Service learning begins in Junior School and continues through the IB Diploma Programme, developing students' connection to the Beacon community and beyond.
