BINUS SCHOOL Simprug was established in 1998 as a high school and moved to Simprug in South Jakarta in 2003. It is part of BINA NUSANTARA and offers an IB World School program, including PYP, MYP, and DP. In 2007, BINUS SCHOOL Simprug partnered with Hwa Chong Institution in Singapore for staff training, program development, and curriculum development. In 2014, the school was designated a Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (Cooperative Education Unit) by the Indonesian Ministry of Education. The school maintains a dynamic, multi-faith environment and is not tied to a single religion.
BINUS SCHOOL Simprug prioritizes community and hosts Community Friendship Day to engage students, parents, and teachers in education. The event is an annual celebration that includes activities such as costume parades and literature festivals across age groups. The community day is designed to strengthen bonds and foster a supportive educational environment. The school also marked significant cultural moments, such as a 21st anniversary PYP concert celebrating SPIRIT values.
The Parent Teacher Association participates in school events. During Community Friendship Day, the PTA runs a bazaar selling snacks, drinks, school supplies, and handmade products. Community Friendship Day brings together parents, guardians, students, and teachers to strengthen the school community. The event includes costume parades and literature festivals across age groups. BINUS School Simprug is an IB World School in South Jakarta that serves students from age 3 to 18 as a private day school. It offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme, with a Diploma core including the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity and Service.
