Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

BINUS SCHOOL Simprug supports social-emotional learning through a safe, supportive environment and strong home–school collaboration. Community Friendship Day fosters bonding and open communication among students, teachers, and families. The school promotes empathy and social awareness through events such as World Kindness Day with Make-A-Wish Indonesia. The Journeys Programme personalizes learning and provides academic and non-academic support to help students develop resilience and an international mindset.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English Language Acquisition is offered within the Middle Years Programme; students may be placed in English Language Acquisition, Indonesian Language Acquisition or Mandarin Language Acquisition.

BINUS School Simprug is an IB World School in South Jakarta that serves students from age 3 to 18 as a private day school. It offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme, with a Diploma core including the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity and Service. Established in 1998 and relocated to Simprug in 2003, the school is part of BINA NUSANTARA and has collaborated with Hwa Chong Institution since 2007 for staff development and curriculum enhancement. In 2014 it was designated a Cooperative Education Unit by the Indonesian Ministry of Education. The campus is modern and purpose-built, with dedicated spaces for science, libraries, arts, music, drama, and recreation, plus a Basketball Court and expansive green spaces to support inquiry and collaboration. Signature features include the BUZZ MUN conference, the Culturific Club, and the Journeys Programme, together with SDG-aligned events and service opportunities.
