Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

CCS runs a holistic program that supports students academically, socially, and emotionally. A range of systems supports students in these areas. The community emphasizes inclusion, belonging, and student well-being. Mindfulness and well-being are integrated into the school's approach. The environment is supportive of health, resilience, and positive relationships.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

CCS has a Special Educational Needs policy that provides Learning Support. English is the language of instruction. WIDA testing is used to determine English language proficiency. The policy outlines procedures for referrals and ongoing monitoring of student progress. The school aims to support identified needs within the mainstream classroom through appropriate supports.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

English is the language of instruction at CCS. Languages Other Than English include Indonesian, Spanish, and French. Indonesian language studies and Indonesian Studies are part of the curriculum. Language learning is emphasised across all year levels.

Mental Wellbeing

Mindfulness and well-being are integral to CCS's approach. The Middle School curriculum includes Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) to support social and emotional development. A supportive school environment fosters health, resilience, and positive relationships. CCS emphasises well-being through a holistic approach and community initiatives.

Safeguarding

Canggu Community School (CCS Bali) is an international school for students aged 3 to 17 in Bali. It offers a blended curriculum: English National Curriculum for Early Years and Primary, Indonesian National Curriculum across year levels, and a Middle School adds core subjects plus Indonesian, Spanish and French. The Diploma Programme (IB DP) and Cambridge IGCSE are offered; CCS is a Cambridge International Exams Centre. CCS opened in 2001 and is governed by Yayasan Swamitra Internasional; it is fully accredited by CIS and WASC, with reaccreditation through 2025. The campus blends modern spaces with Balinese architecture, bordered by gardens and rice fields, and features science labs, a black box theatre, an amphitheatre, digital and performance music rooms, and an ICT lab. Primary Campus offers a 25m pool, a soccer pitch, and a multifunction hall. Extracurriculars include 50+ activities per term, Model United Nations, Duke of Edinburgh, and service programs globally.
