The Buah Hati foundation opened its first Buah Hati School in 1990. Cita Hati was established in Manyar, Surabaya in 1994. Cita Hati Elementary School - East Campus was established in Laguna Indah (now Pakuwon City) between 2000 and 2003, while the Manyar Campus continued the Junior and Senior levels. In 2005, Cita Hati School became the first IB Diploma Programme school in East Indonesia for grades 11–12, and the Junior & Senior Schools moved to Pakuwon City. In 2008–2009, the West Surabaya campuses were opened (Citraland area) with Preschool and Elementary programs, and new facilities. In 2010, Cita Hati East Campus received Cambridge Assessment International Education certification. In 2015, the Senior School West Campus expanded to Pakuwon City. In 2019, a Samarinda campus was opened. In 2025, Cita Hati became the first Christian IB Continuum School in East Java with full authorization for PYP, MYP, and DP. Presently, Buah Hati & Cita Hati Schools continue to grow to serve diverse communities with faith-based education.
Student Life includes Sports, Science, and Arts programs. The sports program, called the Cheetah Spirit, engages students to represent the school in various sports, with quality facilities, professional coaching, and opportunities to compete. Science education emphasizes hands-on projects and inquiry-based learning in modern laboratories. Arts programs nurture creativity and performance with opportunities to showcase student work.
Cita Hati Christian School East Campus is a Christian IB Continuum school in Java, Indonesia. It offers an integrated program, delivering IB Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme, alongside Cambridge Primary and Cambridge IGCSE curricula. This combination supports a globally aware education within a faith-based environment. East Campus features modern classrooms, science and computer laboratories, libraries, and language enhancement spaces, plus dedicated art, design, music, and theatre facilities. Sports and a multi-purpose hall support physical education and teams. The school emphasizes character development through its Christian values, independent inquiry in Diploma Programme, and community service projects. Cambridge Certification at the East Campus since 2010 connects learners to international assessment standards. The school uses English as a core language of instruction and exposes students to perspectives through Cambridge, English-language study, and IB inquiry.
