The school runs a strong, varied co-curricular programme that broadens the educational experience. All students are encouraged to participate in hobby and activity classes. Present offerings include Literary clubs, Information Technology, Science, and Paper Recycling.
The school offers arts and creative activities as part of the co-curricular programme. Students participate in Classical and Indonesian Traditional Music and in Dance (Western and Balinese). Arts & crafts, Batik Design, and Pottery provide creative outlets.
Language study is part of the Diploma Programme, including English, Indonesian, and Mandarin Ab Initio. Students study at least two languages and increase understanding of cultures. The Diploma Programme provides language subjects such as English A, Indonesian A, Indonesian B, and Mandarin Ab Initio.
The school fosters social life and personal interests through clubs and sports. The school includes Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) as part of the Diploma Programme, guiding students to engage in creative, physical and service activities alongside academics. CAS comprises three strands that promote experiential learning: Creativity, Activity and Service. These experiences support personal and interpersonal development.
The school supports wellbeing through a broad range of sports and fitness activities. A comprehensive sports programme includes Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Futsal, Soccer, Athletics, Table Tennis, Swimming, Surfing, Wushu, Cricket and Aerobics. Yoga is also offered as a mindfulness and fitness option.
Gandhi Memorial Intercontinental School Bali (GMIS Bali) is an IB World School offering an international education for ages 3–18. The curriculum comprises IB PYP, MYP and DP, alongside Cambridge IGCSE and the CP. English is the medium of instruction from Nursery to Grade 12, with Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, French and Hindi offered as foreign languages. Indonesian national examinations are administered for Grades 6, 9 and 12. In the Diploma Programme, students complete six subject groups and core components Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service, with assessments in English, French or Spanish. Cambridge IGCSE for Grades 9–10, with ICE possible through seven subjects. GMIS Bali has been part of the Gandhi Group since 2007 and is affiliated to the IBO, Cambridge Examinations Syndicate and the Board of Secondary Education Indonesian Schools. The campus includes classrooms, science labs, language lab, computer labs, library, music and arts spaces, and infirmary.
