Secondary uniforms (Years 7-12) consist of a Batik shirt (Years 7–9) or a Cream shirt (Years 10–12); navy blue shorts, skirts, trousers or skorts, with shorts/skirts required to reach the knee. Socks and footwear are not strictly specified by the school, and hijabs are optional but should align with navy, teal, or the GJS batik design. Friday Batik Day is observed weekly, allowing Batik on that day; on other days students wear the standard uniform.
The canteen provides a balanced, healthy menu with Indonesian, Asian and Western options, including package meals, à la carte items, and a café-style selection. Vegetarian options are available, and meals can be delivered to Kindergarten through Year 2 classrooms; all transactions are cashless and the canteen operates from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Free drinking water is available at multiple locations across the campus.
Global Jaya has a house system with house competitions held throughout the year; every student and teacher is allocated to a house and a house captain leads the house to promote inclusive participation and school spirit. The Hawks is a named house used to represent the school community, which is described as part of the house system and student activities.
The School Board comprises 3 Directors from Yayasan Pendidikan Jaya, the GJS Parents Association Chairperson, 3 Parent Representatives (one for each of the PYP, MYP and DP programmes), the General Manager and Head of School. The board convenes three to four times per school year to discuss governance and management topics including student enrolment, student achievement, staffing, school fees, risk assessment, and strategic planning.
Global Jaya School is an IB World School in Indonesia offering the IB Continuum: Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 4–12, Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16, and Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16–19, alongside the Indonesian National Curriculum. The school serves students aged 4 to 18 on a 6.6-hectare campus in Bintaro Jaya Sektor IX. It opened in 1995, gained WASC accreditation in 2001, and introduced the IB programmes in 2002–2003. Facilities include five science laboratories, a fully equipped library with over 32,000 books and digital resources, and a Performing and Visual Arts Center with a Theatre Building. The campus also features a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a FIFA‑approved soccer field, safe playgrounds, and dedicated arts spaces. English instruction is emphasised in secondary, Indonesian is the host language, and a PYP dual-language strand exists with Indonesian and expatriate teachers; from Year 9, students may study Mandarin, Spanish, Korean or Indonesian as a third language. The Diploma Programme requires Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge, and Creativity, Activity and Service. Current enrollment is around 670 students with about 29 expatriate teachers; a FIFA-standard field upgrade occurred in 2024–2025.
