Global Jaya School

IB Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme are offered for students aged 4–19. The school is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organisation and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and is a full member of EARCOS. The curriculum is evolving to follow AERO International standards, delivered within an inquiry framework. Indonesian is the host country language; English instruction is emphasised in secondary; a dual-language strand is taught in the Primary Years Programme with Indonesian and expatriate teachers, and third language options (Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, or Indonesian) are available from Year 9.

Global Jaya School has a Theatre/Fine-Arts Complex on campus. The facilities include a mezzanine-level dance studio and a dedicated fitness area for performing arts and movement. The library supports arts and research with over 32,000 books and digital resources to foster creativity and inquiry.

Global Jaya School observes Indonesian holidays within the calendar and celebrates Unity in Diversity; the community is non-denominational and respectful of Indonesian culture. Indonesian is the host language with English instruction emphasised in secondary; a dual-language strand is taught in the PYP and Indonesian-language and literature is integrated with support for multiple languages. From Year 9, students may choose a third language option: Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, or Indonesian.

After School Activities (ASA) begin at the start of each semester and include embroidery, dance, choir, martial arts, journalist club, photography, coding, and arts and crafts. Activities are led by teachers and outside providers and are free of charge except where an external provider runs the activity. Students may select up to three ASA options and are expected to attend regularly; absences must be communicated to the activity leader.

Global Jaya has an active Parents Association and an Alumni Association that partner with the school on events such as Book Week, Halloween, Family Fun Day, and Teacher and Staff Appreciation. The school observes national holidays and celebrates Indonesian heritage; the community includes a diverse student body and faculty. Current enrolment is about 670 students, with around 85% Indonesian and 15% foreign passport holders, and 29 expatriate teachers from 11 countries.

University Counseling supports students in university selection and preparation. A Secondary University Career Counsellor provides career guidance. The Global Jaya School Board oversees governance, comprising Directors, Parent Representatives, and the Head of School.

Gymnasium and sports facilities include a full-sized basketball court, six badminton courts, two volleyball courts, a 15x25m swimming pool, FIFA-standard soccer fields, a running track, additional soccer and basketball fields, and tennis courts. A fully equipped School Clinic with two full-time nurses and medical-grade beds, AEDs, and emergency procedures supports student health, with partnerships to nearby hospitals for urgent care. The canteen offers a balanced, nutritious menu in a 896 square meter facility seating up to 1,000, with cashless payments and a variety of Indonesian, Asian, and Western options.
