Hope Intercultural School was established in 2019 in Puri Indah, West Jakarta, as part of Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan (YPPH), a network of schools that has served students for more than 25 years. It uses the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The school operates two campuses: West Campus (Puri Indah) and North Campus (PIK 2). The Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan foundation provides governance and educational guidance for the school.
Hope Intercultural School embraces an Inclusive Program: no child is left behind, learning differences are embraced, and support is provided beyond the curriculum. The school works with parents and learning specialists to address barriers to learning and to help each student achieve their potential. Facilities include modern classrooms and a library. The campuses are located at West Campus in Puri Indah and North Campus in PIK 2.
Hope Intercultural School in Jakarta is an International Baccalaureate World School with two campuses: West Campus in Puri Indah and North Campus in PIK 2. West Campus is authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP); North Campus is a Candidate School for the PYP and MYP and aims to offer the full IB continuum. The school serves Pre-Kindy through Primary and begins IB learning through a play-based approach in Pre Kindy and Kindergarten. The IB framework uses inquiry-based units that build understanding, supported by Biblical Studies, daily devotions, and weekly chapel reflecting a Christian worldview. Facilities include more than 12,000 sq m of building space and 6,000 sq m of outdoor space, a central library, a Health Center staffed by a nurse from Siloam Hospitals, and a basketball court. An Inclusive Program provides learning support with specialists, and governance is provided by Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan.
