Mentari Intercultural School Jakarta (MIS Jakarta) is an IB World School in Indonesia offering the International Baccalaureate programmes PYP, MYP and DP alongside the Indonesian National Curriculum. The Elementary programme combines IB PYP with national standards; Junior High blends IB MYP with the National Curriculum; Senior High delivers the IB Diploma Programme alongside the National Curriculum. The campus supports inquiry-based learning, real-world connections and opportunities for performances, exhibitions and assemblies. MIS Jakarta places an emphasis on intercultural values and international mindedness, preparing students for higher education and life after school. The school traces its origins to Yayasan Perkembangan Anak Indonesia (YPAI), established in 1994 by mothers. Teachers participate in IB workshops to strengthen delivery of the programme and to support a student-centered approach. Extracurriculars include plays, art exhibitions, project presentations and student assemblies. Signature elements include MIS Traits like Able Leaders and a Positive Education framework focused on wellbeing.
