The school provides a safe, caring, and collaborative learning environment and integrates character development and social responsibility into the curriculum. The learning program emphasizes 21st-century skills, including inquiry, collaboration, and leadership, alongside STEAM. The IGNITE values guide student behavior and emphasize Integrity, Growth mindset, Nobility, Innovation, Teamwork, and Excellence. Student health and welfare are a priority. School counsellors are trained to support student welfare and address concerns. The school provides age-appropriate education on abuse and neglect and has processes for reporting concerns to the Principal, with parental involvement where appropriate. Contagious diseases are managed according to government and SA policy, and the school provides designated spaces and routines that support social interaction and healthy living.

Abuse and neglect are defined and addressed through awareness-raising for students and teachers, with school counsellors trained to take action and follow reporting procedures. Parents must report concerns to the Principal, who coordinates with appropriate services, including crisis hotlines where available. The school outlines clear safety protocols, including student health and safety rules, and promotes a positive, safe environment through policies on grooming, safety, and safeguarding awareness.
