The House System creates a supportive community where students and staff feel safe to take risks, celebrate successes, and learn from failures together. The fundamental purpose is to portion Sekolah Ciputra into smaller communities that promote both learning and loyalty to the school overall. Houses foster an inclusive community that appreciates diversity, builds character, and develops citizen scholars and advocates. Students and teachers alike are encouraged to participate in Inter-house competitions and to take active roles within their Houses. The system increases opportunities for student leadership and strengthens school spirit. This approach supports social-emotional development by fostering collaboration, belonging, and peer support.
English is the language of instruction at Sekolah Ciputra. In the Early Years Programme, English-language instruction is paired with a commitment to developing Bahasa Indonesia proficiency. The school hosts an English as an Additional Language (EAL) & Translanguaging Professional Learning Community to support multilingual learners. A Translanguaging Toolkit provides a structured framework to support language development while honoring students' cultural identities. The program emphasizes adaptable classroom resources and whole-school language initiatives to foster language learning. Through translanguaging practices, students are encouraged to express themselves confidently in multiple languages.
World Mental Health Day is celebrated annually to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing. This year's theme was 'Permission to (Release) Stress,' emphasising discussing and managing stress and failure. Two webinars with guest speakers, a university psychologist and a wellbeing advocate, were held for students and teachers in Grades 7–12. Self-care missions for daily wellbeing were conducted, with hundreds of submissions. The Health and Wellness Committee within the Parent Support Group supports ongoing wellbeing initiatives across the school.
Child protection is the highest priority at Sekolah Ciputra. The school has a child protection policy, a designated Board Member in charge of child protection, a child protection officer, and a child protection team. The team conducts an annual audit of safeguarding processes and reports annually to the Board of Trustees. The High School provides full-time counselors to help with personal, academic or social issues, and college counseling is available. Counseling promotes social and emotional learning and student well-being. If concerns about child protection arise, they should be disclosed to the HSP, HSCP, or EP.
