The school has four Special Education units: Special Needs (SN), Learning Center (LC), Transition Education Center for High Functioning Students (TEC HF), and Transition Education Center for High Support Students (TEC HS). SN and LC serve ages 5 to 12, while TEC HF and TEC HS serve ages 12 to 18. SN has full-time placement in the Special Needs classroom; some students attend LC or mainstream classes for social integration.

Sekolah Cita Buana, established in 1995 in South Jakarta, was founded by parents and educators to offer an education option that blends the Indonesian national curriculum with international elements and bilingual instruction in Indonesian and English. The school serves 540 students and has produced graduates who pursue higher education locally and abroad. Since 2001, 150 graduates have progressed to higher education, with many studying in Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia. The campus comprises three buildings—Middle & High School, Early Years & Primary, and Special Education—and features fully equipped laboratories for science education, as well as an Early Years Playground. Located in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, near Clilandak Estate and Ragunan Zoo, the school offers two mini soccer fields, two basketball courts, and a semi-Olympic swimming pool to support PE and sport. It emphasizes community, learning, lifestyle, with clubs focusing on academics, service, and lifestyle.
