The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). The IB DP emphasizes collaboration and global challenges, including projects such as the Innovative Renewable Resources and Technology for Environmental Sustainability. IB DP CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) is part of the program.
Traditional Dance and Modern Dance are After School Activities. Art and Craft and Drawing Club are available. The After School Activities provide entertainment and enrichment after a full day of academics.
The Lunar New Year celebration 2026 – Year of the Fire Horse demonstrates multicultural events at SGIA. The main language of instruction is English; Indonesian language is taught for local and international students, and Mandarin is offered from Kindergarten 3. Lunar New Year celebrations reflect the school's diverse and inclusive community.
After School Activities include Taekwondo, Basketball, Badminton, Soccer, Volleyball, and Table Tennis. Yoga is available as a wellbeing activity. Book Club is offered. Pasukan Baris Berbaris (PBB)/Paskibra and Traditional Games are offered.
TEDxYouth@SGIA was hosted on January 30, 2026. SGIA provides IB DP CAS and other leadership opportunities. SGIA participated in Harvard Model Congress Asia.

Sekolah Global Indo-Asia (SGIA) is an international school in Batam, Indonesia, serving ages 3 to 18. The campus offers a blended curriculum with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for K1–Grade 5 and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) for the upper level, alongside Cambridge International Examinations, including Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and Advanced/AICE, and an Indian Curriculum option.
