Primary follows the Singaporean Curriculum, focusing on Life Skills, Knowledge Skills and Subject Based Learning to develop knowledge, values and competencies for the 21st century. The approach uses student-centered lessons and cross-curricular projects to keep learning engaging and meaningful. Core subjects in Primary include English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese, with Bahasa Indonesia, Technology, Global Perspectives, Physical Education, Visual and Performing Arts, PPKN and Religion.
Preschool includes Aesthetic and Creative Expression through art, music and movement. Primary includes Visual and Performing Arts as part of the curriculum. Co-curricular activities support creative expression across SIS Bandung campuses.
Mandarin is taught in Preschool. Bahasa Indonesia is an important part of the Primary curriculum. The Primary program includes English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese, with Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin as language offerings, and Chinese and Indonesian language studies appear in the curriculum. Lower Secondary lists English Language/ESOL and Chinese/Indonesian Language offerings.
Co-Curricular Activities are unique to each SIS Bandung campus and are designed to meet the SIS Desired Student Learning Outcomes (DSLO). Activities are organized and monitored by trained professionals and staff who focus on developing teamwork, individual growth and leadership. Leadership in the boardroom often begins with leadership on the pitch, and cocurricular activities reinforce positive values related to teamwork and personal development.
The Secondary programme offers a comprehensive Community Service Programme in which students deliberate, plan, implement and reflect on service learning. Students undertake a fixed number of community service hours as part of the program.
Co-curricular activities provide leadership opportunities and reinforce teamwork and leadership development. The DSLO framework guides these activities to foster collaboration and personal growth. The Junior College pathway includes the IB Diploma Programme, and Cambridge A Level material is described as part of the Cambridge pathway.
The school places student wellbeing at the center of its approach and strives to support student wellbeing through its community and environment. Physical Education is included in the Primary curriculum. The IB Diploma Programme focuses on the intellectual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of students.
Located in Bandung, SIS Bandung is part of the SIS Group of Schools, delivering education from early years through Junior College for learners aged 2–18. The Preschool uses the Nurturing Early Learners Framework with Mandarin. In Primary, the curriculum aligns with the Singaporean framework, delivering English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese as core subjects, with Bahasa Indonesia, Technology, Global Perspectives, Physical Education and Visual and Performing Arts. The Secondary School follows the Cambridge International programme for ages 13–16, with Lower Secondary Checkpoint and Cambridge IGCSE assessments. The Junior College offers the IB Diploma Programme and Cambridge A Levels, with Cambridge A Level qualifications widely accepted by universities. A project-based, interdisciplinary approach runs throughout, and a Community Service Programme requires hours for Secondary and JC students. Co-curricular activities are campus-specific and guided by the DSLO framework. Language offerings include Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia, and the school provides a range of arts and creative opportunities.
