SIS Medan was founded in 2003 as one of the Collaborative Education Units (SPK) under the SIS Group of Schools. The campus spans 1.2 hectares and serves more than 400 students across play group, kindergarten, pre-school, elementary, middle, and high school levels. The SIS Group of Schools was previously known as the Singapore International School. The Group was founded in 1995 with the first building in North Jakarta and now operates seven campuses across Indonesia, including SIS Medan.
