The school uses a tri-curricular approach with Singapore, Cambridge, and IB Curriculums and offers Active Learning, Coding, Robotics, and Virtual Reality programs. This approach prepares students for the 21st century.
Aesthetic and creative expression is nurtured through art, music, and movement, including dance and performances. Students create art and music, developing personal expression and confidence.
Mandarin is offered. Students learn to speak confidently, recognize and write characters, songs, poems, stories, and other cultural activities.
World Discovery encourages curiosity about the world through investigations; students learn why things happen and how things work. Examples include cooking, environmental care, responsibility, and celebrating cultural diversity.
Co-curricular activities align with the CAS framework (Creativity, Activity, Service), fostering collaborative engagement with the community and meeting authentic needs.
Leadership development is embedded in SIS Co-Curricular, with leadership opportunities beginning in team activities and extending to broader roles, building teamwork, personal development, and leadership.
Motor skills development and health awareness are emphasized, with activities including sand and water play, gym, indoor/outdoor play, health programs, projects, arts activities and field trips.
SIS Semarang is an international campus welcoming families from 21 countries, with teachers from five nationalities. The school provides Preschool through Secondary education, guided by the Nurturing Early Learners Framework. In the early years, Information Technology and Mandarin are embedded in a curriculum focused on language and literacy, numeracy, world discovery, physical development, social-emotional growth, and creative expression. Nursery 1 to Kindergarten 2 offer foundational learning, while the Singapore Curriculum guides the primary program and a blended approach for ages 13–16 that combines Singapore and Cambridge curricula, with Cambridge Checkpoints and Cambridge IGCSE available internationally. Cambridge A Levels and the IB Diploma are offered at higher levels. Facilities include the Center for Advanced Learning for secondary work and a Multi-Purpose Hall for indoor sport such as badminton. Co-curricular activities include Jumping Clay, Martial Arts, Kode Kiddo, and Badminton, and a spectrum of Active Learning, Coding, Robotics, and Virtual Reality experiences.
