Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Form teachers spend time daily teaching and reinforcing universal principles of kindness, fairness and respect in homeroom. Assemblies focus on developing social and emotional skills to support student wellbeing. The Religious Centre and Islamic Studies provide counselling from a full-time Muslim educator, and there are dedicated spaces for Christian, Catholic and Buddhist students with mentors. Social-emotional learning is integrated through daily interactions and school assemblies to foster values and well-being.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The ESOL Program supports students of all ability levels to develop confidence in reading, writing, listening and speaking English while ensuring progress across all subjects. It eliminates the need for tutoring agencies by providing on-site language support. The program accommodates learners from native English speakers to beginners, and a dedicated ESOL Language Laboratory enhances language learning.

Mental Wellbeing

Form teachers reinforce universal principles of kindness, fairness and respect in daily homeroom and school life, supporting students' mental wellbeing. Assemblies focus on developing social and emotional skills. The Religious Centre provides counselling from a full-time Muslim educator, with dedicated spaces and mentors for Christian, Catholic and Buddhist students. Social-emotional learning is embedded in the curriculum and school culture to promote overall wellbeing.
