Academic and Intellectual

The school teaches five core subjects: Bahasa Indonesia, English, Chinese, Mathematics and Science. It also prioritises Physical Education, Arts, Information Technology and Social Studies, all integrated with Ren Wen humanistic education principles. Tzu Chi Primary School combines the National Curriculum and Cambridge Framework and is a tri-lingual school where English, Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia are taught as subjects and used as languages of instruction. Tzu Chi Secondary School offers IB MYP (Grades 7–10) and IB DP (Grades 11–12) and is an IB World School; Service Learning is integrated through SA and CAS to foster community service and reflection.

Arts and Creative

Arts are prioritized as part of the curriculum. The IB MYP at the Secondary School includes Visual Arts and Music as core components. After‑school activities include Dance, Manga Drawing, and Music Class. A Tea Ceremony Class is offered at Primary School as part of cultural arts experiences.

Cultural and Language

The school is tri-lingual, with English, Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia. English, Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia are taught as languages and used as the medium of instruction. French is offered as an after‑school activity in the Secondary School. The Cambridge Framework is part of the curriculum alongside Ren Wen humanistic education.

Social and Hobbies

The After-School Activities offer a wide variety to support students' interests and talents. Examples include Badminton, Basketball, Boardgame, Coding, Cooking, Dance, Manga Drawing, Robotics, STEM, Taekwondo, Wushu and Yoga. Morning Exercise, Field Trips and Literacy Day are regular activities, and Music Class is part of the program.

Community and Service

Service Learning is central to the school's ethos; Secondary School students undertake SA and CAS as integral parts of the curriculum to foster responsibility, compassion and active citizenship. The program includes community service projects and aligns with the Tzu Chi Foundation's humanitarian initiatives, including recycling, disaster relief and charitable outreach. The Tzu Chi Center on campus supports learning through community engagement, with social visits and outreach activities included in the program.

Leadership and Professional

Student Monitors are selected and trained to uphold humanistic values. The Secondary School runs a Student Council and Prefects to cultivate leadership, initiative, responsibility and collaboration. Guidance and Support services foster desirable behaviour and ongoing growth, with in‑school counseling and regular assemblies. Pep‑Talks and grade‑level counseling help develop essential soft‑skills for future leadership roles.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

Morning Exercise is part of the daily routine to promote physical well‑being. Counseling services provide individual and group support, with anti‑bullying campaigns and sex education starting from Primary 1 to address wellbeing and personal development. After‑school activities include physical and fitness options such as Badminton, Basketball, Taekwondo, Wushu and Yoga. Assemblies, social visits and a range of wellness supports reinforce students' holistic development.

Located in Jakarta, Tzu Chi School – PIK is a private SPK school following the Indonesian national curriculum with international standards. It serves students from ages 2 to 18, with learning organized by stage: Early Years, Primary School and Secondary School. Early Years blends the National Curriculum with Ren Wen Humanistic Education and uses Pearson iPrimary digital resources. Primary School integrates the National Curriculum with the Cambridge Framework and is taught in English, Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia as subjects and languages of instruction. The Secondary School offers IB programmes: MYP for Grades 7–10 and DP for Grades 11–12, and is accredited as an IB World School with SPK registration.
