American Overseas School of Rome (AOSR) is a non‑denominational, independent, co‑educational Pre‑K–12 school on Via Cassia in a green Rome setting. The curriculum blends an American program with IB Diploma and AP options, preparing students for university worldwide. The school follows three pillars—personalized learning, active engagement, and a future‑ready approach—across a continuum from inquiry‑based Elementary through Middle School to rigorous High School pathways. The IB Diploma Programme has been offered since 1989, complemented by AP courses and strong university guidance, with accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The campus spans about 6 acres (2.5 hectares) of green space, featuring 55 classrooms, four science labs, a design lab with 3D printers and laser cutters, and libraries with around 25,000 volumes. Facilities include a gym, amphitheater, performance spaces, outdoor quad, two playgrounds, and multiple sports courts. AOSR serves 59 countries and participates in the DoDEA European League annually.
